Abstract

Family Medicine is described as a "horizontal" specialty because it covers areas that theoretically would belong to others, as opposed to traditional ones that would be described as "vertical" because they favor in-depth knowledge regarding an organ or system. With this premise, the PHC has seen in this specialty a solution to the saturated health system. The objective of this study is to measure the level of acceptance and confidence that family medicine has on the part of the other members of the health system.
